Texas A&M Launches Statewide Dementia Research Initiative To Tackle Alzheimer’s Crisis

As rates of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias continue to rise across Texas and the nation, the Texas A&M University Health Science Center (Texas A&M Health) is launching a bold, collaborative initiative to change the trajectory. The Dementia & Alzheimer’s Research Initiative (DARI) brings together leading researchers, clinicians and community partners to chart a transformative path forward.

Artifact Identification Night with Texas Archeological Society

The Texas Archeological Society will host a Public Program and Artifact Identification Night on Thursday June 19th at 7pm at the Fine Arts Building at the Robertson County Fairground. At this event, the local community is invited to join the TAS for a lecture that summarizes our activities during field school and presents the preliminary results of our work. That same evening, we host an Artifact Identification event where the community is invited to bring their artifacts or collections of artifacts for identification by our team of professional archeologists and experts.

U.S. Rep. Sessions to host town hall

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions will host a town hall meeting on Monday, June 16, in Robinson to hear from residents of Texas’ 17th Congressional District. The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Robinson Junior High School cafetorium, located at 400 West Lyndale Drive. Constituents are invited to share their thoughts and concerns with the congressman during the meeting.
