Keeping up with the Thorndale Exes

What a great week I’ve had! Way too hot, but the afternoon showers have helped. I poured out a little over one inch from my rain gauge Friday, but when I was talking to dear neighbor Geraldine Biar, Class of 1959, she said she poured out 3/4 inch. So either way, it was a nice shower. I always enjoy when Geraldine calls. I even saw her out in the yard walking around one day. I haven’t checked the amount from the shower on Saturday yet.

Some may be asking, “what is Community Service?” Community Service, as part of many probation sentences, is where probationers work on projects for the county and around the county helping to complete various jobs and meet community needs. Helping entities that are often unable to afford help. Not every organization qualifies, but most non-profits, school districts, and government offices to name a few can request and get help from our Milam County Community Service office.
