Keeping up with the Thorndale Exes

You probably won’t believe this, but the last 3 or 4 weeks, I’ve had 2 different raccoons, 1 smaller than the other, 1 opossum and a rat or another opossum as I only saw the tail and it wasn’t moving very fast, but faster than I was,in my garage. I still keep moth balls all over the garage, cayenne pepper all around the car, rat & mouse repellent discs all around and Irish Spring soap all around in the garage and anything else trying to keep out all the varmints . Seems to be a losing battle. Pest Patrol keeps my black boxes full all the time but I don’t see any evidence that anything goes in them because spider webs over the opening. Oh!! Well!! I know you are tired of hearing my problems.

Summer Reading was a huge success at library

This year’s Summer Reading was another huge success. We had over 100 children, and their families sign up for our program! We are so grateful to local artists Pamela Neeley (Studio Potter), Gabby Rodriguez (Photographer) and Carol Isaaks (Painter) who donated their time and talent for this year’s Monday night programs. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Cameron Lions Club for volunteering their time with set up and clean up and keeping a watchful eye for the safety of all families.
