Gerrymandering, according to the good folks at the dictionary George Merriam and Noah Webster started is “the practice of dividing or arranging a territorial unit into election districts in a way that gives one political party an unfair advantage in elections.”

Protect Your Books from the Heat & Discover New Titles at the Library

With the days heating up, temperatures in parked cars rise to extremely hot temperatures. These temps are not only dangerous for children and pets but to books as well. So please be kind to your books and ours by not leaving them in hot cars on these brutal summer days. Extreme temperatures lead to glue binding melting which may not only cause damage to your car but will loosen pages in books. This is especially true for paperback books. High heat will also damage the image on covers, fade print inside books as well as turn the pages yellow. To prolong the life of our books and keep them available for others to enjoy please remember to keep your books out of hot vehicles.
