Local residents living near the New Thorndale High School construction site are being advised of an early morning concrete pour scheduled for Monday, July 28, beginning at 3:00 a.m.
July 17-18, Coach Kayla Young hosted a volleyball camp for current and future Lady Yoe volleyball players. The camp was also led by Yoe Alumni and Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball player, Ainsley Driska. Ainsley helped coach the ladies in various exercises such as serve receive, dealing with free balls, and 3 on 3 exhibitions. The atmosphere was fun and full of knowledge.

The Cameron ISD school board meeting took place Monday, July 14 at the Administrative Auditorium. This was the first meeting presided over by new Cameron ISD Superintendent Dr.
The city of Cameron had their city council meeting on Monday July 21. Mayor Nathan Fuchs led the meeting. After the citizen comments, the council approved the regular meeting minutes from June 16. Next, there the council discussed and approved the expenditures. The council then discussed approving the May 2025 financial report. The motion carried was approved.
