Cameron’s downtown streets were filled with book lovers last Saturday as the inaugural Small Town Big Book Festival drew nearly 1,000 visitors from across the region— and beyond. The festival stretched across nearly a full block along Fannin Street, with more than 70 vendors offering books, baked goods, beverages, bookthemed merchandise, and handmade items such as leather products and custom rugs. Independent authors were a key feature, with 35 writers showcasing titles ranging from thrillers to memoirs. Organizers reported that 90% of the authors sold out of their stock by the end of the day.
