Six Flags, Two Kingdoms, One Frontier
The Alamo is one of the most longstanding and endearing symbols of Texas. A few months back, while in San Antonio for the statewide Ben E. Keith Food Show at the gargantuan Gonzalez Convention Center on the River Walk, we walked a few blocks to visit the remarkably well-kept site known as the heart of the Texas Revolution. There, I saw a quote from a name I recognized, from 1762—over half a century before the Revolution.
