Junior High girls win tournament

The Junior High Lady Yoe competed last weekend in the Rogers Tournaments. The seventh grade A team placed first beating Thorndale, 20-10, and Rogers in the championship game, 24-12. Scorers for the Lady Yoe versus Thorndale is as follows: Camryn Ward with 11 points, Yierra Flemings with four points, Camryn Ward with two points, Seally Smith with two points, and Lindsay Talafuse with one point. Scorers for the Lady Yoe versus Rogers is as follows: Yierra Flemings with 13 points, Railyn Youree with five points, Camryn Green with two points, Lindsay Talafuse with two points, and Camryn Ward with two points. The eighth grade A team placed third in the Rogers Tournament defeating Bruceville-Eddy, 31-15, but losing to Thorndale, 27-31. Scorers for the Lady Yoe versus Bruceville-Eddy were as follows: Sydni Smith with 13 points, Kartaya Bradley with 12 points, and Makaelyn Perez with six points. Scorers for the Lady Yoe versus Thorndale were as follows: Sydni Smith with 12 points, Haley Tucker with seven points, Lauren Harris with six points, and Kartaya Bradley with two points. The Junior High Lady Yoe traveled to Lexington last week. The scores are as follows. The eighth grade B team lost 11-14. Scorers were Nereida Cardona with five points; and Alejandra Tapia, Analiese Salazar, and Paradise Cash all with two points. The seventh grade A team won 39-0. Scorers were Yierra Flemings with 19 points, Lindsay Talafuse with six points, Camryn Ward with six points, Seally Smith with four points, Camryn Green with two points, and Taytum Moore with two points. The eighth grade A team won 26-25. Scorers were Kaly White with 15 points, Sydni Smith with eight points, and Kartaya Bradley with three points. The girls will then continue district play at home versus Franklin on tonight. Games will start at 5 p.m.

Sports Banquet tonight

The Yoe Fall Sports Banquet honoring Cross Country, Volleyball , Football, Bell Brigade, Cheer, Trainers will be held Thursday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m. Meal will begin at 6 p.m. and awards will begin at the PAC immediately after. Cost for public is $10.
