City recognizes Flag Day

The City of Cameron officially recognized June 14, 2025, as National Flag Day in a proclamation signed by Mayor Nathan Fuchs. The declaration honors the patriotic contributions of KJZT Family Life societies, which have long celebrated National Flag Day through various religious, charitable, cultural and civic activities across Texas.

Learning about art at the library

The fun continues at our Summer Reading Program Presenters Series. Last Monday, we welcomed local artist Pamela Neeley who introduced the children to the art of pottery. Ms. Neeley brought in some of her beautiful works of pottery to show and then walked the children through the process of making their very own air-dry clay pinch pot.

TURKEY AND DRESSING FUNDRAISER The Thorndale Ladies Firemen Auxiliary will be hosting a Turkey and Dressing fundraiser dinner on Saturday June 28th in conjunction with the 34th annual Thorn dale Fireman’s BBQ cook off inside the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall. Serving will begin at 11am. Plates will be $15. each with desserts available for a free will offering. See you there!
