Gause Methodist Church Receives Official Texas Historical Marker

The Texas Historical Commission has recognized Gause Methodist Church in Gause as a significant part of Texas history by awarding a Texas Historical Marker. A dedication ceremony to commemorate the event will be held Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m. at the church. The address is 204 W. Walnut St., Gause. Participating in the ceremony will be members of the congregation and members of the Milam County Historical Commission. The public is invited to share in and witness the historical event and to view historical memorabilia following the marker dedication.
TWC Launches New Initiative to Support Child Care Businesses

AUSTIN – The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is launching the Child Care Business Support initiative to strengthen the vital role that child care businesses play in our communities. Through this initiative, child care providers will gain access to expert guidance and training that will help them overcome challenges and more effectively support children and families across the state.
