Redistricting Bill Sent to Abbott; Lawsuit Challenges It

The Texas Senate approved the new congressional map and sent the bill to Gov. Greg Abbott. A lawsuit challenging the redrawn districts as being racially discriminatory was filed before Abbott could sign the bill, which he has promised to do soon. Cameron Library Expands Seed Library

Members of The El Camino Real Texas Master Naturalists and Little River Basin Master Gardeners met last week at the library to sort and package seeds for the Seed Library. Many seeds have been restocked and new have also been added. Stop in and pick up seed packets, up to four seed packets can be checked out per visit. Anyone interested must come in person to pick out and check out seeds. This is a great free program that all Milam County residents can take advantage of. You do not need to have a Cameron Public Library card to check out seeds. Please call the library for any questions regarding this program.
