Keeping up with the Thorndale Exes

What a great week I’ve had! Way too hot, but the afternoon showers have helped. I poured out a little over one inch from my rain gauge Friday, but when I was talking to dear neighbor Geraldine Biar, Class of 1959, she said she poured out 3/4 inch. So either way, it was a nice shower. I always enjoy when Geraldine calls. I even saw her out in the yard walking around one day. I haven’t checked the amount from the shower on Saturday yet.

Yard of the Month

The Fleur de Lis Garden club selected Bobby and Monica Schiller as yard of the month for August. Please drive by and see their beautiful yard on 1400 Jackson and 14 St. in Cameron. Their backyard is a showcase of beautiful flowers and plants as well. Pictured is Monica Schiller with Garden Club member Carolyn Dorner. Not pictured is Jewell Albright, Garden Club member.
