Milam County Consumer Decision Makers do well at district contest

Milam County 4-H coached and took 35 youth to the District Consumer Decision Making Contest on Saturday, Feb. 23.

The youth did a fabulous job and all kids worked very hard! Here are all the placings from the teams.

Junior (third through fifth grade) Teams and Individuals: third place team - Hadley Wagner, Jett Vaculin, Owen Graham and James Bartsch; sixth place team - Carlie Eason, Colby McAnulty and Harleigh Barrett. Fourth place individual went to Hadley Wagner.

Intermediate (sixth through eighth grade) Teams and Individuals: first place team - Colton Barbo, Julie Bartsch, Klay Eschberger and Macy McDaniel; second place team - Vaughn Kostroun, JW Hollas, Tessa Vaculin and Camryn Green; third place team - Robert Miller, Ava Magre and Trenton Strmiska; fourth place team - Marisol Hill, Ryan Luckey, Cody Webb and Jack Luckey. Marisol Hill was first place individual.

Colton Barbo was second place individual. Macy McDaniel was third place individual. Vaughn Kostroun was fourth place individual. Fifth place individual was Robert Miller.

Senior (ninth through 12th grade) Teams and Individuals: first place team who will be going to State - Heath Hollas, Abbigail Miller, Grant Widner and Scott Widner; fourth place team - Colby Green, Hunter Hux, Rebecca Kostroun and Mallory McDaniel; ninth place team - Wylie Barrett, Joseph Barbo and Gabriel Ramthun. First place individual was Mallory McDaniel, who will be going to State. Fifth place individual was Heath Hollas.

Great day for these kids! Congratulations and thanks to all the parents who served as group leaders and families who came all the way to support the youth!
