CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Window Dedication

The dedication of the stained glass windows from the Wallis house will be held on Friday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library. The stained glass windows were removed from the Wallis House, believed the oldest home (1873) in Rockdale after much of the home was destroyed by fire in 2016. Through efforts of the Milam County Historical Commission, Rockdale City Manager and Council, Perry & Perry Builders, Inc. and volunteers in the community, the windows were restored with original glass, and a part of Rockdale history remains.
