4-H members place at San Antonio Livestock Show Consumer Contest

Milam County 4-H coached and took 37 youth to the San Antonio Stock Consumer Decision Making Contest on Saturday, Feb. 16. The youth did a fabulous job and all kids worked very hard! Here are all the placings from the teams. Out of a total of 23 Junior teams Milam County took: sixth place team of Carlie Eason, Evie Hill, Colby McAnulty and Jesalyn Miller; and eleventh place team of Harleigh Barrett, James Bartsch, Owen Graham and Jett Vaculin. Out of 70 contestants, ninth place individual went to Jett Vaculin. Out of 38 intermediate teams Milam County took: second place team of Vaughn Kostroun, J.W. Hollas, Tessa Vaculin and Camryn Green; third place team of Marisol Hill, Ryan Luckey, Jack Luckey and Cody Webb; ninth place team of Colton Barbo, Julie Bartsch and Macy McDaniel; 20th place team of Brady Barton, Klay Eschberger and Mallory Miller; 26th place team of Ava Magre, Robert Miller and Trenton Strmiska. Out of 116 contestants individual awards went to: Marisol Hill with first place, Vaughn Kostroun with third place, and J.W. Hollas with seventh place. Out of 46 senior teams Milam County took: second place team of Colby Green, Hunter Hux, Rebecca Kostroun and Mallory McDaniel; 11th place team of Heath Hollas, Abbigail Miller, Grant Widner and Scott Widner; 37th place team of Wylie Barrett, Joseph Barbo and Gabriel Ramthun. Out of 143 contestants Heath Hollas won fifth place individual. Great day for these kids!
