TISD Food Service Earns Perfect Inspections, Statewide Recognition

The district’s Food Service Department is celebrating a year of major accomplishments, highlighted by perfect health inspection scores and statewide recognition for its commitment to fresh, local foods.

According to a recent announcement, the department earned a perfect score of 100% on both health inspections conducted this year, reflecting a strong emphasis on food safety and operational excellence.

In addition to the inspection results, the department will be recognized at the Texas Department of Agriculture’s MegaCon conference for its participation in the Farm Fresh Challenge. The program promotes the use of locally sourced foods in school meals and encourages student engagement through agricultural education.

Food Service representative Jeni Anders is set to attend the conference, where the department will receive the challenge’s highest honor, “Cream of the Crop.”

The recognition highlights the team’s ongoing efforts to provide nutritious meals while supporting local producers and creating meaningful dining experiences for students.

District officials praised the Food Service staff for their dedication and hard work, noting that the achievements reflect a continued commitment to quality and student well-being.
