6 p.m. – The El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists will hold its monthly meeting at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church Meeting Room, 200 N. Travis, in Cameron, TX. Brittany Perry, District Biologist for Milam, Falls and Burleson Counties, will present a program on the Rio Grande Turkey.The public is invited to attend.

Community Wide Garage Sale in Thorndale - $10 pays for additional publicity and a map. To participate or answer questions, text 830 708-1344 to be included.

Proceeds go to the food cabinet at Thorndale City Hall.

4 to 10 p.m. – Fifth Annual Darrell Hall Memorial Crawfish Boil Scholarship Fundraiser. Come out to the country to have a day of food, friends and fun and celebrate the man, the myth, and the legend, Darrell.

The boil will be provided so all you need to bring is your beverages, chairs, and fun cash. They will have BBQ on the smoker for the non-crawfish eaters so there will be plenty of food. Located at Beyersville Hall SPJST Lodge 48, 10450 FM 619 Taylor. The event will also include a live auction, multiple ticket raffles, gun raffles, music and washer boards.

The entrance fee is $15/ person at the door and includes food. 10 years and under are free.

Donations are welcomed. All net proceeds will go to the scholarship funds after expenses.

7 p.m. – Artist Spotlight Night with Nathan Snyder, a musician whose work seamlessly blends faith with musical craftsmanship. Free to attend. Moon Brew Coffee Co, 109 N. Main St., Rockdale. TX. Sponsored by Milam Arts Society.

11 am to 7 pm - Adoption Day & Fundraiser hosted by Svana’s Dog Grooming.

$10 Entry Fee and Free Raffle Ticket (Additional Raffle tickets are available for $5) Bring your furry friend in for a nail trim and pay $10 or donate a 8 oz+ bag of dog food. There will be Corn-Hole Competition at 3pm, Washer Competition at 4pm, Pie toss with community volunteers at 5pm. Raffle winners will be announced at 6pm and also a cake auction. Come to the Backyard of the Beer Market, 101 S. Fannin Ave, Cameron for some family fun.

10 a.m. – The Milam County Historical Museum and the Betty Martin Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) in Temple, Tx, and Three Missions Chapter NSDAR in Cameron, Tx, are hosting a Milam County Historical Museum America 250! The program will be held at the Milam County Historical Museum, 112 West 1st, Cameron, Tx.

The Dedication and Unveiling of Daughter of Revolutionary War Soldier Marker honoring Eliza Tice Hall will be held directly after the museum program approximately at 11:30 am at the Ad Hall Cemetery. The Ad Hall Cemetery is in Pettibone, Tx, six miles west of Cameron.

Sunday, April 12

2 to 4 p.m. – St Monica Bingo at Simon & George Hall, 401 S. Karnes, Cameron with cash prizes. Doors open at Noon for a meal, sweets, and beverages. Proceeds go to the St. Monica Catholic Church and parish organizations.

Tuesday, April 14

7p.m. - Picking Circle hosted by Charlie Wyler at Moon Brew Coffee Co., 109 N. Main St., Rockdale, TX.

This is a “round robin” style jam session, with musicians of all skill levels. Sponsored by Milam Arts Society on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Wednesday, April 15 10 a.m. – The Little River Basin Master Gardeners invite the public to a presentation on landscaping with native plants to attract birds, butterflies and other beneficial insects. The program will explore the vital connections between plants and wildlife. The Landscaping Beyond Birds presentation will be held at First Baptist Church (gym entrance on College St), 400 W Main, Cameron. All are welcome to attend this free event.

7 p.m. – Open Mic Night at Moon Brew Coffee Co., Rockdale, TX. Welcoming artists of all types: singer/ songwriter, poets, dancers, magicians, ect. Sponsored by the Milam Arts Society on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Milam County Historical Museum and 1895 Jail 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – The Milam County Historical Museum and 1895 Jail Historical Museum is open Thursday through Saturday. Jail is open Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and tours are available by appointment only on Thursday and Friday. For more information, call 254-697-8963.

Milam County Railroad Museum 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – The Milam County Railroad Museum, located on the courthouse square, is open Thursday through Saturday.

– American Legion Post 9 meets the first Tuesday of every month at The Hut at Ledbetter Park. A potluck dinner begins at 6 p.m. Veterans, families and friends are welcome.
