10 a.m. to Noon – Easter Egg-stravaganza hosted by the YHS Student Council on campus. Children ages pre-k to second grade can enjoy photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts, games, a hayride and an egg hunt. Checkin from 9:40 a.m. to 10 a.m., $10 for the first child, $5 for each additional child.

Saturday, April 4

9 a.m. – 11th Annual Cameron ISD Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament at the Cameron Country Club. Four-person team 18 hole scramble, open to all golfers.

Sponsorships are still available. All proceeds will benefit scholarships for Yoe graduates. Prizes for top 3 places, longest drive and closest to the pin. Lunch and refreshments provided. Individuals can enter for $75 or enter as a team for $300. Entries include one mulligan per person. 10 to 11:30 a.m. – St. Paul Lutheran Church and Thorndale 4-H Club are hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza at St.

Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Meet in the Family Activity Center at 10 a.m. for a reading of the Easter story with the egg hunt to start at 10:20. Free games, bounce houses, hot dogs and water as soon as the Easter egg hunt is over. Drawing for gift cards and large Easter baskets.

10 a.m. to Noon – Annual Women’;s Day Program “Who will roll the Stone Away” at the Trinity New Life Worship Center, 200 South Crockett, Cameron.

Guest speaker is Pastor Patricia Chalk from Old Providence Baptist Church, Branchville. Lunch will be served.

Sunday, April 5

6:30 a.m. – The Community Sunrise Service sponsored by Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. This Sunrise service will feature CAMA Ministers participating in the Service. It starts at 6:30 a.m. but you can arrive early for coffee and donuts. Seating for the Service will be set up on the Courthouse Mall, 111 South Houston, Cameron.

Monday, April 6

Earthday Program at the Rockdale Library 9 to10 a.m., 11 a.m. to Noon, and 2 to 3 p.m. Pollinators for Texas, an H.E.B. Initiative in partnership with Texas Master Naturalists.

Refreshments, free nature gifts and Texas Native seeds.

Thursday, April 9

6 p.m. – The El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists will hold its monthly meeting at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church Meeting Room, 200 N. Travis, in Cameron, TX. Brittany Perry, District Biologist for Milam, Falls and Burleson Counties, will present a program on the Rio Grande Turkey.The public is invited to attend.

Saturday, April 11

Community Wide Garage Sale in Thorndale - $10 pays for additional publicity and a map. To participate or answer questions, text 830-708-1344 to be included. Proceeds go to the food cabinet at Thorndale City Hall. City and County addresses included. Find us on Facebook: Thorndale, TX City-Wide Garage Sale 9 a.m. to Noon – The Annual Yoe FFA Plant Sale will take place at the YHS greenhouse.

4 to 10 p.m. – Fifth Annual Darrell Hall Memorial Crawfish Boil Scholarship Fundraiser. Come out to the country to have a day of food, friends and fun and celebrate the man, the myth, and the legend, Darrell. The boil will be provided so all you need to bring is your beverages, chairs, and fun cash. They will have BBQ on the smoker for the non-crawfish eaters so there will be plenty of food. Located at Beyersville Hall SPJST Lodge 48, 10450 FM 619 Taylor. The event will also include a live auction, multiple ticket raffles, gun raffles, music and washer boards.

The entrance fee is $15/person at the door and includes food. 10 years and under are free.

Donations are welcomed.

All net proceeds will go to the scholarship funds after expenses.

7 p.m. - Artist Spotlight Night with Nathan Snyder, a musician whose work seamlessly blends faith with musical craftsmanship. Free to attend. Moon Brew Coffee Co, 109 N.

7p.m. - Picking Circle hosted by Charlie Wyler at Moon Brew Coffee Co., 109 N. Main St., Rockdale, TX. This is a “round robin” style jam session, with musicians of all skill levels.
