Consuelo “Connie Hale” Silva Miranda, 81, of Cameron, died Nov. 12, 2025.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Monica Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the Mass at the church. A vigil will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Ms. Miranda, a retired bookkeeper, was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Wilson County, Texas. She married Ed Hale, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary M. Flores.
She was co-owner of Bumper to Bumper Auto Repair and Tires Unlimited with her husband and daughter. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Jo Miranda of Cameron; goddaughters Elizabeth Ortiz Gorzell and Chastity Ortiz Garcia of Floresville, Texas; uncle Clem Silva Sr. and his wife, Sharon, of Fort Worth; sister Carolyn M. Jasso of Twin Falls, Idaho; and stepchildren Billy Hale and his wife, Ruby, of La Vernia, Texas, and Susan Hale and her husband, Eugene Robinson, of Leesville, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat- grandchildren.
Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
