Milam County 4-H Members Excel at Heart of Texas Ag Product ID Contest

Milam County 4-H members showcased their agricultural knowledge and skill at the Heart of Texas Ag Product ID Contest held on Saturday, October 4th. Competing against teams from across the region, these young leaders demonstrated their understanding of agricultural products, plants, and commodities that are vital to Texas agriculture.
Free Texas Watershed Steward Workshop in Cameron Oct. 20

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free Texas Watershed Steward workshop on Monday, Oct. 20, in Cameron. Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and watershed and land management, with a focus on Big Elm Creek and surrounding watersheds.
