Sunday before last, Feb. 1, St. Paul Lutheran Church held its annual BBQ Fundraiser at the Thorndale Volunteer Fireman’s Hall. They served 1,140 plates—just a hair under the official population of Thorndale itself. Not too shabby for an event run entirely by volunteers. Tammy Pickett and Teresa Ging have spearheaded this fundraiser for 27 years, and anyone who’s managed something this size knows exactly what kind of chore that is.

Our days have been so nice lately. Nights are still pretty cold but getting better each week. Come on, summer!!! I hope you got some of that great St. Paul BBQ last Sunday. It was so good, and they sold over 1,100 plates.
