The Yoemen took back the lead 39-37 on layup by Javoun Goldsby (11) and then started to gain some momentum. Halftime would end with the score 47-42 with Cameron in the lead.

Cameron started to pull away as they extended their lead to 57-48 and eventually a double digit 61-51 lead on free throws by Colby Wilson (32). The Black Cats tried to go on a scoring run on their own before the end of the third quarter, which ended with Cameron leading 63-59. Mexia came back to make the score 69-66, and later took the lead 73-72. The deficit for the Yoemen grew to 82-75 and Mexia never looked back as they handed Cameron a 90-78 defeat.
