Yoe golf teams successful at home

The Cameron Yoemen golf team took second place team at the Yoemen Invitational on Monday, March 2. 

The Yoemen shot a team total 360, 12 strokes behind winner Georgetown High School (348), and nine strokes ahead of third place Copperas Cove (369).

Yoe Freshman Kaden Kuzel fired a 77 to win the Individual Medalist awards. 

Other scorers for the Yoemen were Mason Vaculin with an 89, Dillan Akin with a 92, Tate Stroud with a 102, Colby Green with a 104, and Braden Brashear with a 108.

Other top five medalists were Will Hoggatt (80) of Georgetown, Kole Gardner (83) and Brayden McLean (83) of Groesbeck, and Colton Stark (86) also of Georgetown.

 

Lady Yoe

The Cameron Lady Yoe golf team won second place at the Lady Yoe Invitational at Cameron Country Club with a 418.  

Presley Berry and Shawn Bernard lead the charge for the Lady Yoe both shooting 97 to tie for fourth place medalist.  

Other scores for the Lady Yoe were Alexis Stroud with a 106, and McKenzie Lara with a 118.  

McGregor with a 365 won the tournament, and Waco University with a 425 took the bronze.  

McGregor also swept the top 3 medalist spots with Paige Gilstrap (80), Maggie Parmer (87), and Kylie Coats (93).  

Next up the Lady Yoe will head to the Brenham tournament on March 19.
