Lady Yoe sweep Moody, fall short against Jarrell

The Lady Yoe Volleyball had a busy stretch starting Friday with a sweep of Moody.

Lady Yoe Volleyball had a great night at Moody with a clean sweep. 

The Varsity won three straight games 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

JVA also claimed a sweep 25-21, 25-15.

And JVB completed the program sweep 25-8, 25-15.

The ladies traveled to Madisonville on Saturday for a dual match with Madisonville and Somerville.

They easily swept Somerville before losing to Madisonville on Saturday.

Against Somerville, Cameron won 25-14, 25-20, 25-15. 

Kaly White had 10 kills in the match as Haley Tucker had 14 assists. Lauren Harris had a big night with four aces and nine digs. Makaelyn Perez had a pair of blocks. 

The Madisonville Lady Mustangs then ended the Lady Yoe’s four-game winning streak. 

The Lady Yoe dropped the first game 25-20. They came out strong in the second game and had a nice lead before Madisonville came back and took the game 25-23. 

The Lady Yoe continued to fight hard however and took the third game in dominating fashion 25-13 before falling to Madisonville 25-16 in the fourth game to give Madisonville the match. 

In the Madisonville game, Ja’Kerra Holt picked up 12 kills and served three aces. Haley Tucker had 14 assists, Lauren Harris nine digs, and Makaelyn Perez had two blocks.

In JV action, JV A defeated Sommerville 25-7 and 25-4 and lost to Madisonville 25-14, 25-12. JV B fell to Madisonville 25-14, 25-12 as well. 

The ladies fell to Jarrell on Tuesday in a hard fought series.

They put up a fight, but were swept by Jarrell 25-13, 25-21, 25-21. 

The Lady Yoe kept things interesting on the efforts of Ja’Kerra Holt, Makaelyn Perez, and Haley Tucker. 

Holt had seven kills, two aces, and a block. 

Perez added eight kills and an ace while Tucker picked up 12 digs and a block. 

The JV A team and JV B team both picked up sweeps. 

The A team won 25-14 and 25-12 and the B team won 25-22 and 25-22.
