Lady Yoe Soccer

Lady Yoe soccer player Courtney Muniz works the ball down the field. The Lady Yoe soccer team hosted a tournament Jan. 9-11. Madisonville got first place in the silver bracket and Florence finished second. Brentwood Christian School finished first in the gold bracket and Academy was second. Qualifying for the gold bracket (placing first or second in their pool) were Academy, Jarrell, Brentwood and Cameron. Qualifying for the silver bracket (placing third or fourth in their pool) were: Austin Travis, Madisonville, Florence and Waco Connally. The Lady Yoe defeated Jarrell 5-1 with Brandi Drake scoring three goals, Mariana Penaloza scoring one and Maddi Kenney scoring one. They also defeated Austin Travis 5-0 with Drake scoring three goals, Penaloza scoring one and Celeste Cardona scoring one. They then lost to Academy 1-3 with Jule Preiser scoring the goal in that game.
