Lady Yoe fall to Caldwell

The Lady Yoe dropped a game to Caldwell on Friday night 8-6.

Friday’s game against Caldwell was a heartbreaker for the Lady Yoe as they lost the lead late in an 8-6 defeat. 

The game was tied at five with Caldwell batting in the top of the sixth when Caldwell’s Rodriguez homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

The Lady Yoe collected seven hits and Caldwell had nine in the high-scoring affair.

The Lady Yoe Varsity captured the lead in the first inning when Peyton Polson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the second inning, Caldwell tied things up at five when Faust hit a solo homer.

Rodriguez was the winning pitcher for Caldwell, lasting seven innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out two.

Polson took the loss for Cameron. Polson lasted six innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out four.

Nevaeh Billingsley started the game Cameron. The righty surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning, walking zero.

Caldwell hit three home runs on the day. 

Lindsay Talafuse, Polson, Mia Wimmer, Brooklyn McCall, McKenzi Lara, Camryn Ward, and Lauren Harris all had one hit to lead the Lady Yoe.
