Cross Country competes at Troy

On Saturday, Sept. 30, the Yoemen cross country team competed in the Troy Trojan Invitational at Troy. 

Cameron had one runner in the girls varsity run. Kiera Land finished 34th in the race with a time of 14:09. 

The varsity boys competed against 14 other schools and finished second with a combined total of 77 points. Leading the way for the Yoemen was Damon Flemings, who finished eighth with a time of 17:49. Right behind him was Josh Jochec finishing ninth with a time of 17:50. Brady Havens was next to come through, finishing 12th with a time of 18:07. Ricardo Reyes was next, finishing 22nd with a time of 18:47. Alejandro Silva was next, finishing 26th with a time of 18:54. Next was Zachary Frausto, finishing 35th with a time of 19:24. The last to cross the finish line for Cameron was Marbel Reducindo. Reducindo finished 54th with a time of 20:42. 

Up next for the Yoemen is the UIL 3A - District 19 meet on Monday, Oct. 9, at Bluebonnet Park in McGregor.
