Cameron ISD suspends summer workouts due to positive COVID test

Cameron ISD has been made aware that one of the staff members working with the boy’s summer strength and conditioning program has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, the boy’s summer strength and conditioning program will be suspended until July 20.

The district will be deep- cleaning all strength and conditioning equipment this week and will resume the girl’s strength and conditioning on July 13 with the boys to follow on July 20.

Cameron ISD reminds parents to please monitor your students the next 14 days for the following symptoms of COVID-19:

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Repeated shaking with chills

Muscle pain

Sore throat

Loss of taste or smell

Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit

If you have concerns that you or your student may have been exposed to the virus, or if you or your student has any of the aforementioned symptoms, you should contact your personal health provider immediately.
