Yoe Cross County runner Damon Flemings is headed for the State Cross Country Meet. On Monday, Oct. 9, the Yoemen cross country team competed in the UIL 3A Region 3 Championship meet at Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park in Huntsville. Flemings was the lone qualifier for the boys team. He finished eighth place with a time of 17:13, which qualified him for the state meet. Damon will run in the State Championship meet, which will be on Friday, Nov. 3, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The ladies had one runner in the girls varsity run. Yierra Flemings finished 85th in the race with a time of 15:01.
