Thorndale VFD to escort Santa around Thorndale

This Saturday, Dec. 19, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department will be escorting Santa and Sparky around town between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

"We know with the social distancing and not being able to get together with family and friends, people are feeling down," the TVFD said. "Thorndale VFD wants to show the community that there is HOPE and we will BEAT this COVID! In order to do this and bring happiness and Christmas cheer to the community, we will be parading the fire trucks up and down the streets of Thorndale. We will be throwing some candy along with having Santa and Sparky the fire dog on the truck."

The TVFD will slowly pass thru the neighborhoods beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 19. They will start on North Broadway and work their way over to Country Meadows. After that they will go south of town by the water tower and start on Michalk Street.

"We look forward to seeing each of you outside and smiling as we drive by to spread some Christmas spirit and cheer," a statement said. "Please help us spread the word!"

Note: Incase of bad weather or an emergency call, they will try to reschedule.

Please be aware, due to covid protocols, we have asked Santa to stay on the truck. People are welcome to come out and see Santa but social distancing is to be maintained.
