Thorndale PD to host Citizens Police Academy
The Thorndale Police Department has announced its first-ever Citizens Police Academy.
The program is an in-depth look at how police departments operate and a great opportunity to meet and interact with your officers.
Participants must be 18 years or older.
The class begins Thursday, Sept. 5. Classes will be from 6-9 p.m. for 10 consecutive weeks with a graduation ceremony in week 11. You can have no more that two absences to graduate. Classes will be at the Thorndale Chamber of Commerce building.
The academy will be taught by Police Chief Mark Birchard.
Applications can be picked up at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
