Lady Dogs sweep Milano

The Thorndale Lady Dogs volleyball team went on the road to take on the Milano Lady Eagles and swept them 3-0 on Saturday.

The Lady Dogs won the first set 25-22, the second set 26-24, and the third set 25-20. 

Hadley Meadors recorded six assists, two aces, and five digs. Abby Dickerson also played well with eight assists, two aces, and a dig. Kyndal Robinson recorded 11 kills, seven assists, an ace, and five digs. Raeghan Carlson had two kills, one ace, and four digs. 

On Tuesday, the Lady Dogs hosted the Leon Lady Cougars. They were defeated in a 3-2 heartbreaker. 

They won the first set 25-23, won the second set 25-16, lost the third set 25-18, lost the fourth set 25-22, then lost the fifth set 15-13. 

Hadley Meadors played great, recording 14 assists, an ace, and eight digs. Kinley Meadors recorded five kills, two assists, and three solo blocks. Emily Reeves had a great game with three kills, one assist, 11 solo blocks, and three digs. Kyndal Robinson was amazing with 18 kills, six assists, an ace, and 10 digs. 

The next match for Thorndale will be on the road against the Holland Lady Hornets for their district opener. The game will be Saturday, Sept. 24, and is scheduled for 3 p.m.
