Lady Dogs shut out Bremond 15-0

The No. 5 Thorndale Lady Dogs (19-5, 9-0) shut out Bremond 15-0 on Tuesday night. The game lasted just three innings, being called early due to the run rule. Riley White pitched a perfect game, striking out eight of the nine batters she faced. The other out was a pop fly. The Lady Dogs had 12 hits on the night and the Lady Tigers committed six errors. Thorndale put up seven runs in the first inning and four in each of the second and third frames. Emilee Baker had three hits and two runs batted in, along with a stolen base. Hannah Laurence recorded two hits and three RBIs. Kelsey Kovar collected two hits and scored three times, while Kate Casey and Madison Flores each had two hits and one RBI. Jacey Paulsen connected for a hit and White had an RBI. It took just four innings for Thorn-dale to no-hit Milam County rival Milano 12-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Dogs scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning, two in each of the second and third innings and one in the fourth to put the game away. Thorndale hitters combined for 11 hits in the game. White shined on the rubber with four strikeouts, and forcing the Lady Eagles to hit into seven ground outs and four pop flies. One Milano player reached base in the contest and that was on an error. White connected for two triples, with Madison Flores also hit a triple. Emilee Baker, Madison Kelm and Kelsey Kovar all had doubles. Jayci Martinka recorded two hits and stole two bases. Hannah Laurence also stole two bases and had three RBIs. Jayce Paulsen and Madison Kelm each connected for a hit, with Paulsen batting in two runs and Kelm adding one RBI. The Lady Dogs are set to play at Thrall on Friday and host Rosebud-Lott on Tuesday.
