City of Thorndale approves disaster declaration

The City of Thorndale approved a resolution to extend the Declaration of Disaster for the city until further notice during an emergency meeting on March 27.

The city announces last week that is will no longer provide face-to-face services to the public inside the building beginning March 20 but will continue operations.

As part of the effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 the city believes it is in the best interest of the city’s residents and employees, while continuing to provide services through phone services, email and payments to trafficpayment.com

A drop box will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the building entrances located at 105 N. Main Street and the black box located on the north side of the City Hall building.

The public will be able to continue payments of water bills, traffic tickets and other miscellaneous correspondence.

Contact City Hall at (512) 898-2523 or email City Secretary Staci Irwin at secretary@cityofthorndaletx.org or City Clerk Tonya Summer at clerk@cityofthorndaletx.org.
