Timothy James "T.J." O'Neill

Timothy James “T.J.” O’Neill of Austin passed away. Funeral services will be held on June 24, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church,  4311 Small Dr., Austin, Texas 78731. Burial will be in Cook Walden Capital Parks. A rosary will be recited on June 24, 2020, at 9:15 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church

He was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Burlington to Raymond O'Neill and Hilda Albert (O'Neill)

He married Eileen Keane (O'Neill) at St. Peter's Catholic Church in State Island, N.Y., on Dec. 22, 1956,

He was a highly accomplished sportsman at Yoe High School; captain in the U.S. Air Force; national and international travel as a highly skilled surgeon and radiologist; belonging to many major medical organizations such as being a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Radiology, North American Radiology Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Radiological Society, Travis County Medical Society and served on the Board of Directors of the Austin Diagnostic Clinic

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eileen (née Keane); four children, Kathleen O’Neill-Hubbard of Polson, Mont., James O’Neill of Austin, Michael O’Neill of Chaplin, Conn., and Peggy O’Neill-McLeod of Helena, Mont.; siblings, Mary Dosch, Irene Gielen and Patricia Polzer; and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org)
