Rebecca Lynn (Brown) Woods

A Celebration of Life for Rebecca Lynn (Brown) Woods, 59, of West Point, were held Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at Crosspoint Community Church in La Grange.  She passed away Jan. 21, 2022.

Rebecca was born April 21, 1962, to William Brown and Minnie (Morrison) Brown in Cameron. She graduated from Rockdale High School. On June 12, 1982, Rebecca married David Woods.

There are no words to accurately describe just how beautiful of a person Rebecca was. She was loved by everyone who knew her; a great mother, loving wife, incredible grandmother and a best friend to all. She was a strong Christian who loved the Lord.  She devoted her time to reading the Bible and learning about Jesus so she could spread the Good News to those around her. She spent her days bringing joy and comfort to so many. Rebecca knew no stranger. Her contagious smile and joyful laugh would instantly light up any room. She was always working to help and serve others in need. Rebecca was a very creative person. She enjoyed working with her hands and would use leather to create something so unique and beautiful.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was thought of as the “Greatest Granny ever.”

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and William; brother, William Douglas Brown; and brother-in-law, Donny White.

She leaves behind, her husband, David Woods of West Point; son, Matthew and wife Kirbey Woods of Fayetteville; daughter, Leslie and husband Jason Cullison of Burnet; half-brother, Michael Brown of Corpus Christi; sister, Naomi White of Cameron; half-sister, Lillian Polacios of Premont; and grandchildren, Piper and Leighton Woods, Sarah, Grace, Claire, Stephen, Anna, and David Cullison, as well as numerous other family and loving friends.
