Phyllis Marian Elmore

Phyllis Marian Elmore, 92, of Cameron died Sunday Nov. 7, 2021, at her home.   

Mrs. Elmore, a retired seamstress and homemaker, was born on July 21, 1929, in Victoria to Phillip

Lace and Esther (Craig) Fairless. 

She was a long-time member of Marlow Baptist Church. She worked at Bea’s kitchen for many years before retiring at age 90. She loved making shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse “Christmas Boxes for children.”  She also made refreshments for the nursing home while volunteering and helped sponsor children overseas. 

Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by a son, Michael Elmore; grandsons, Joseph Elmore and J.J. Urban; sister, Frances Partridge; brother, Craig Parrish; and nephew, Craig Lee.  

She is survived by: sons, Richard Elmore and wife Suzanne of Leander and Wm. Mark Elmore and wife Laura of Cameron; daughters, Paula Powell and husband Scott of Victoria, Lisa Condry and husband James of Jones Prairie, Susan Seaton and husband Damon of Bryan, and Patricia Carroll and husband Bryan of Brandenburg, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Mary Elmore of Leander; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.

Private family services will be at a later date.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
