Patricia Diane Wheat

Patricia Diane Wheat, 68, of Cameron, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, in Bryan Hospital. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pebble Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Wheat was born July 10, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo., to James and Nellie (Oakes) DeLong.  She had worked for many years as a waitress and cook.  She had been a member of the Cameron United Pentecostal Church for over 20 years. 

She is survived by: son, David Dowlearn of Cameron; daughter, Kimberli Foster of Fort Smith, Ark.; stepmother, Wanda DeLong of Cameron; brothers, Roger DeLong of Cameron, Daniel DeLong of Cameron, Tony DeLong of Cameron, and James DeLong of Washington; sister, Carla Collier of Cameron; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
