Norma Spells 

Norma Spells, 78, of Cameron died Friday, May 6, 2022, at her home.  

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.  A visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Norma was born the fourth child of Charlie and Gladys White in Minerva. She attended O.J. Thomas School and was a majorette. . She was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church were she served as an usher many decades. 

She married her high school sweetheart Aaron Spells, to this union three children were born, Errol Dwayne, Marion Jeanette, and Eric Juan. 

Norma is preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie White; and five brothers, Jimmie Lee Norwood, Charles Roy White, James Earl White, Willie Lee, and Michael Wayne White; and two sisters, Charlie Mae Jordan and Henrietta Jones; two children, Hope and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, Evaneishia and Enoch Spells. 

Norma leaves to cherish her memory husband, Aaron; her three children; and four grandchildren, Errol D Spells Jr. (Tyshaneka), Evan D Spells, George A Govan, and Jamarion G Ard (Joseph); and two great-grandchildren, Diane Pearl Spells and Jordyn Soward; one brother, Billy Ray White of Dallas; two sisters, Gladys Ann Moore of Cameron, and Debra Brown (Philemon) of Harker Heights; and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Spells and Jerry Patterson, both of Cameron; and a host of nieces and nephews, one aunt, cousins and friends who loved and treasured.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
