Johnnie Wileen Brooks

Johnnie Wileen Brooks, 61, of Rockdale and formerly of Cameron died Monday, July 26, 2021, at her home. 

Private family services will be at a later date.

Mrs. Brooks, a retired LVN, was born Oct. 22, 1959, in Cameron to Mary Dee Mathews and Oscar Lincoln Barnes Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Brooks Jr.; by her parents; by a brother, Charles Clifford Barnes; and several step-siblings. 

She is survived by: son, Kyle Sakewitz of Haslet; daughters, Kristy Sakewitz of Rockdale, Cortney Towns of Rockdale, Jessica Sakewitz of Huntsville, and Leah Stewart of Rockdale; brothers, Oscar Lincoln Barnes Jr. of Rockport and Jay Martin Barnes of Rockport; sister, Wanda Louise Osterloh of Rockport; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and the father of the children, Kenny Sakewitz of Taylor.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
