After graduating from Thorndale High School, Judy attended Texas Christian University as a major in English and minor in Music Performing Arts-Vocal. Throughout her life she wore many hats. Jayne taught Kindergarten and High School English, sharing her passion for education with others. Her love for music carried her through 40 years as a piano teacher and she served as Music Director at Wheatland Baptist Church. She was also a talented cake decorator, singer, quilter and gardener as well as a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.

Jayne is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Imogene Smith; her husband, Larry Gene Henry; her second husband, Ken Thompson; and her sister, Mary Evalyn Stigall.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Chambers (Dan Chambers) of Weatherford and Jo Henry of Weatherford; “son-of-her-heart,” Jack Williams (Debi Williams) of Johnson City; her grandchildren, Taylor Turner (Victoria Turner) of Dallas, Jessica Moran (Gregory Moran) of Dallas, Brooke Bell of Fort Worth and Stephen Scharff of Dallas; her great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Edmund Turner; brothers, Jay Smith (Barbara Smith) of Canyon Lake and Mitch Clark of Thornton; and brother-in-law, Bill Stigall of San Gabriel.
