J. Isaac Rodriguez 

J. Isaac Rodriguez, 76, of Cameron died Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at his home.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the St. Monica’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Rodriguez, a retired ranch hand, was born March 25, 1945, in Mexico to Nicolas Rodriguez and Maria de la Luz Jimenez. 

He was preceded in death by two sons, Carlos Rodriguez and Felipe Rodriguez and by two brothers, Celso Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez.  

He is survived by: wife, Magdalena Rodriguez; sons, Jose Luis Rodriguez and wife Alma Belia of Mexico, Roberto Rodriguez and wife Blanca Imelda of Mexico, and Nicolas Rodriguez and wife Jenny Santeano of Belton; daughters, Zaida Copean and husband Martin of Belton, Maria Montejano and husband Manuel of Cameron, and Esther Rodriguez and husband Juan Costillo of Cameron; sisters, Flora Rodriguez of Mexico and Marcelina Rodriguez of Houston; sons , Jose Rodriguez of Mexico, Defino Rodriguez of Mexico, Angel Rodriguez of Mexico, Concepcion Rodriguez of Mexico, and Rosendo Rodriguez of Mexico; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
