Gabriel “Pancho” Cavazos

Gabriel “Pancho” Cavazos, 85, of Cameron died Thursday, March 18, 2021, in a Cameron nursing and rehab facility. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cavazos was born to Guadalupe and Catalina Cavazos on Dec. 3, 1935, in Cameron. He was raised by Oscar and Josephine Story in Cameron where he attended C.H. Yoe High graduating in 1956.  He worked for many years at Milam Transit Mix. 

He was preceded in death by five siblings and is survived by family members, Stella Galaviz, Lupe Chavez and Joe Wallace and their families along with numerous nieces and nephews.
