Franklin Paul Winkler

Franklin Paul Winkler, 80, of Cameron died Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at St. Monica Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Cuba officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Monica Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a rosary at 10:30 at the church.

Paul was born June 13, 1941, in Cameron to Frank Anton and Pauline Rosena (Richter) Winkler. He graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in 1959. He worked for Graham Construction until joining the U.S. Navy in 1963. After his discharge from the Navy in 1967, He had worked as a USDA meat inspector until 1973 when he went to work for Texas Utilities.  In 1989, Paul went to work at Alcoa at Sandown Mines and later J-Wal Ag Services in 2008. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Winkler.  

He is survived by: his sister, Christine Winkler Riola of Cameron; sister-in-law, Reba Winkler of Cameron; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to the St. Monica Window Restoration Fund or to St. Monica Cemetery.
