Frank Kropp 

Frank Kropp, 81, of Thorndale passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021.

Frank James Kropp was born on March 12, 1940, in Taylor to Frank and Lillian (Stasny) Kropp of Granger.  Frank spent his early childhood on the farm of his grandparents, Joe and Mary Stasny, in Granger before moving to Taylor with his mother and stepfather, Willie Remmert. 

He attended West End Elementary School and Taylor High School and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Taylor.  Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961, completing his military service in 1967.  

On Feb. 19, 1964, he married his wife of 57 years, Mary Lunell Bailey, at the Williamson County Courthouse in Georgetown. To this marriage came two sons, Richard and John.  Residing in Thorndale, Frank worked as an agent for American National Insurance in Taylor for more than 40 years.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillian Remmert.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lunell; children, Richard Kropp and John Kropp; sister-in-law, Peggy Welch; a nephew and nieces.   

Viewing was held  Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. NW, Taylor, Texas 76574.  

Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at Taylor City Cemetery, 1101 E 4th St., Taylor, TX 76574
