Emma Jean Ribar

Emma Jean Ribar, 77, of Cameron died Saturday, June 11, 2022 in a Cameron nursing and rehabilitation facility.  

A rosary will be recited 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass following at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Marak. Burial will follow the mass in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Ribar, a retired educator, was born May 11, 1945, in Tucson, Ariz., to Marion Taylor and Ann (Gurecky) Morris.  She married Joseph Ribar and he preceded her in death. She had worked as principal for Buckholts ISD as well as teaching in Killeen and Cameron ISD. She was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Mrs. Ribar was a member of K.J.Z.T. and served as President of K.J.Z.T. for several years.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Ribar and wife Angela Christine of Killeen; sisters, Carole Baca of Wichita, Kansas, and Marion Beauvias of Bryan; and grandchildren, Cassidy James, Gabrielle Garza and Nicolas Garza.
