Desmond Williams

Desmond Williams, 30, of Temple and formerly of Cameron, died Nov. 22, 2020, in a drowning accident near Cameron. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at the C.H. Yoe High School Football Stadium. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Desmond was born on June 25, 1990, in Temple. He attended schools at both Temple High School and C. H. Yoe High in Cameron where he enjoyed playing basketball and track.  His favorite things of life were being a father and husband and his favorite hobby was “FISHING!”

Welcoming him with the angels are his grandparents, Albert and Lilly Pearl Smith, and Valdrea and J.H. Williams; and one big cousin, Courtney “Trell” Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Breanna Williams and two children, Micah Williams and baby-to-be of Temple; his mother, Laura Goldsby and Dwight Goldsby; his father, Corey Smith of Cameron; sister, Bre’Anna Smith; four brothers, Darius Williams and Dorrean Goldsby, of Cameron, Jaylen Mann of Waco, Xeighdan Huff of Ledbetter; and three stepbrothers of Waco. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
