Christopher Michael “Bubba” Evan 

Christopher Michael “Bubba” Evan, 47, of Hearne died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hearne.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Franklin. Visitation was held Friday from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home and 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Christopher was born in Louisiana to Robert Lee “Shorty” and Janet Ann (Twist) Evan. He married Mandie Lynn Derr on April 15, 2006.  He was a U. S. Army veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin where he served in the “I-Men” program and the church Prison ministry.  

He is survived by: his wife, Mandie Evan of Hearne; son, Christopher Michael Evan II of College Station; sister, Tracy Krause and husband Patrick of Hearne; and brother, Robert Eaton of Buckholts.
