Amy Beth Deluna Gainey Erwin 

A Memorial Service was held Aug. 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Wellspring Community Church, formerly known as Gause Full Gospel Church, in Gause, for Amy Beth Deluna Gainey Erwin, 49, of Gause. She suddenly and unexpectedly departed this life for her Heavenly home on July 10, 2022.

Amy was born July 18,1972, in Fort Worth, to Gloria Beth Lange and Rodolfo “Rudy” Deluna. The family moved from Fort Worth to Gause where Amy celebrated her first birthday. She attended Gause Elementary School through sixth grade and graduated from Milano High School in Milano in 1990. She was privileged to play the flute in the first ever Milano Band through all her years there. She loved music.

After graduation she began a career in Home Health where she had the opportunity to share her passion for helping people of all ages with a loving, caring, compassionate heart. She was always demonstrating her strong faith in God as she cared for others. She loved everyone without prejudice.

Amy married Paul Gainey in 2000 and moved to Bryan where she resided until after his passing in 20l6. She married Roland Erwin in 2019 and returned to Gause to make her home.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Ratha Zedlitzlange; her paternal grandparents, Dolores and Maria Rodriguez Deluna; as well as aunts, uncles, loving family members and friends who were all waiting to welcome her as Jesus ushered her through the Pearly Gates of Heaven.

Amy is survived by her husband, Roland Erwin of Gause; four step-children: Traci, Kimmi, Roland Jr. and Rex Erwin; her mother and step-father, Gloria Beth and William “Bubba” Frey of Gause; her father and step-mother, Rodolfo “Rudy” and Delena Deluna of Overton; her brother, Caleb and wife Alison Deluna of Millican; her brother, Joshua and wife Ali Deluna of Richland, Wash.; step-sisters, Brittney Smith of Carthage, Amy Beth Frey of Seattle, Wash., and Laura Frey and husband Ethan Hollingsworth of Brenham; step-brothers, Billy and wife Amanda Frey of Philadelphia, Pa., and Rick and wife Staci Frey of Brenham; 16 step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with caregivers Marantha Stratta and Hillary Yeomans.

She is and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
