Lady Yoe take care of Marlin, drop sets to Gatesville

The Lady Yoe Volleyball team made quick work of Marlin on Tuesday night, Aug. 18, at Yoe Gym.

They swept the Lady Bulldogs, 25-10, 25-15 and 25-14. Stats were not available at press time.

The JVA team also swept Marlin 25-4, 25-4.

The varsity fell to a tough Gatesville team on Friday night.

In the match against Gatesville, the ladies were outscored 17-25, 17-25, and 13-25. 

Makaelyn Perez led the Lady Yoe in attacks with 21. Leading digs was Lauren Harris with nine. Ja’Kerra Holt led in sets with 27. 

The ladies also took on Holland on Saturday defeating winning three sets and dropping one, 25-18, 21-25, 25-11 and 25-15.

Ainsley Driska lead the Lady Yoe with 15 attacks. Lauren Harris had 11 digs and Makaelyn Perez had eight digs.

The Lady Yoe now sit at 2-2 on the season and travel to Moody Friday night (only 2 tickets per player and pre-sale only) and to Madisonville on Saturday afternoon.
